Most of these rules are nothing more than common sense, and internet etiquette reminders. Graphics requests is dedicated to anyone who needs a request fulfilled, whether it be signatures, banners, avatars, or anything concerning graphics. (Photoshop, GIMP, etc.)

    1. Please try and follow the template we have provided for you. If you don’t follow the template, or just decide to the ignore the rules altogether, the probability of having your request fulfilled will most likely decrease, or not bother being done at all.

    2. Be patient. It takes time to complete a well done request. If someone isn’t complying to your ‘standards’, kindly (Note ‘kindly) ask them about it. There really is no reason for rudeness, have a little grace about it. Flaming will not be tolerated, as always.

    3. Descriptions. I cannot stress enough the importance of a well-developed description. Please make it thorough, as well as including any renders or such you would like your request to be used with. A graphics artist can’t complete your request without much information on what exactly it is you would like done.

    4. Be realistic. Photoshop, or any other graphics programs are not magic. Its’ impossible to make a 300 pixel by 100 pixel banner, being given a 50 by 50 pixel image to work with, and the output actually having the smallest ounce of quality.

    5. Don’t lose it when your request hasn’t been fulfilled in a few days or so. As said in rule number 2, it usually takes some time.

    6. For the artists of the forum, remember to keep your promises. If you say you’re going to do something, just for pride’s sake, you should probably keep your word. Wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone.

One of the BIGGEST rules of the forum. If I catch anyone stealing, or claiming another person’s artwork to be their own, you will be punished. No warnings, nothing. Banner theft and art theft is disgusting. ; \

Alright, that’s about it I suppose. Don’t forget to check out the posting guidelines, I suggest you take a swing by and check them out. If you have any questions about the graphics rules or anything going on this forum, just contact me through private message.

    Enjoy your stay. ; D

But yes. To ellaborate a bit there's no such thing as too much information when defining a request... I've heard people say that they often worry about seeming inexperienced in requesting and try not to go overboard in the explanation because of it. So just be sure to explain everything you possibly can, and hopefully you'll get the best result.
